Page-view counts with Cloudflare Web Analytics

To learn which pages are read, the site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookie-free, collects no personal data and does no cross-site tracking. It gives us aggregate page-view counts only: how many times each page was viewed, with broad breakdowns such as country or browser type. It does not identify or follow individual visitors.

Your address stays between you and the County

When you search an address or click a building, your browser asks LA County’s public GIS service for the street address. We do not receive it. We do not store or log addresses, and addresses are not put in share links (a link holds only the map position and view settings).

Saved places stay on your device

They live in your browser’s local storage and never leave it. Clear your browser data to remove them. The same storage remembers that you have seen the quick tour. A small cache on your device (a service worker) remembers map tiles so the map loads faster; switch it off by clearing site data.

Other services your browser contacts

Our own map-data host (tiles.quietlamap.com, on Cloudflare), the map style files (protomaps.github.io), terrain tiles (Amazon S3), and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Each sees your IP address like any website does. Our web host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs.

Links to Zillow and Redfin

They appear in an address panel and send that address to those sites only if you click them.
